| Kiehl's Powerful Wrinkle Cream |
It's USP is that it contains Copper PSA which is being described as the latest anti-aging powerhouse ingredient. It offers skin strengthening and hydrating benefits. Another ingredient is Calcium PCA that also strengthens the skin's protective barrier. Added to that is Abyssine which is a deep sea
marine molecule discovered by Kiehl's researchers and is said to delay the cellular ageing process and helps protect against future damage. The potent moisturisers Apricot Seed Oil and Shea Butter are in there too.
It doesn't contain is mineral oil, added fragrances or parabens which is a definite plus.
Kiehl's claim that Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream, not surprisingly, reduces wrinkles, smoothes skin texture and minimises pores. They says that it significantly increases skin elasticity which is something that appeals to me. As I've been diligent about using sunscreen over the years wrinkles aren't my biggest concern but loss of firmness is starting to be an issue.
I still think that an over the counter cream can only achieve so much but I also think that formulas are getting more sophisticated all the time and can go some way to preventing and improving skin ageing. In my opinion, as long as you don't spend more than you can afford and your expectations aren't sky high buying skin creams with good quality ingredients from brands you trust is a worthwhile expenditure.
It's been out in America for quite a while now and the feedback on it is generally very positive. It sounds like it's quite a rich cream so will probably best suit those with dry skin or who are (slightly) older.
There are three products in this new range: Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream- £42, Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Cream (Broadspectrum) SPF 30 - £42, and Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream - £32.
They're available from February at Kiehl's stores and counters but available online now. I've already ordered the cream with spf30 for the day and the one without for the night!
