M.A.C and Rick Baker Make Up - Get Set For Halloween

I'm not sure when Halloween became a big deal here but it can only be relatively recently. I'm also not sure if it's as big in other areas of the country as it is where I live in Notting Hill/Kensington alongside lots of Americans. However, for my daughter and I it's a definite fixed highlight in our calendar.

The decorations that go up on some of the houses are absolutely spectacular and must cost a fortune. There's a particular area of  that has become a local attraction on 31st October with such things as huge houses covered in giant spiders and skeletons jumping out from behind gate posts to hand out sweets. Hundreds of dressed up kids and parents fill the streets creating a road block.

While there's the obvious complaint about commercialization and feeling obliged to spend money on crap we don't need I think the night is a lot of fun and the stuff that memories are made of. That's why I was excited to see that M.A.C have collaborated with special effects artist Rick Baker to come up with  a range of make up to create some ghoulish looks.

There's palettes, pancakes, acrylic paints lipsticks and more to help you do the looks have been designed by Baker - Bride, Day of Dead and Zombie  - but of course the colours are also perfect to get creative and come up with some ideas of your own. The range is out at the beginning of October.
